This book is rather poor in lingusitic content, and the English presented is neither extensive not authentic. It needs extensive supplemenation, as a text. The basic vocabulary needed for banking is covered, but with a somewhat uninspired approach. Each chapter commences with a dialogue, followed by some very transparent comprehension questions (ie repeat the information), some sort of role play, and a mixture of very brief grammar, and vocabulary exercises which consist of disparate sentence completion/formation exercises; and sometimes a short reading. Some of the limited number of authentic reading texts used have been condensed, thereby rendering them less cohesive than the originals; as is usually the case with condensed versions. The dialogues are stilted and present stereotypped cliched characters such as irritated British army colonels, BBC musicians, and so on. The book's focus is banking, through the medium of English, rather than language per se.
