  Ein schönes Ende, 13. Oktober 2008
Mit diesem Band findet die Pellinor-Saga ein Ende - und zwar ein würdiges. Wie auch schon in den letzten Bänden schreibt die Autorin flüssig, anschaulich und mit großer Liebe zum Detail und zu ihren Figuren. Die Handlung birgt weniger Überraschungen als die letzten Bücher. Das führt zwar einerseits zu einem stimmigen Gesamtbild der Reihe, lässt den Band selbst aber andererseits etwas blass wirken.Insgesamt ist 'The Singing' weniger spannend als seine Vorgänger, aber durchaus ein lesenswertes Buch und ein schönes Ende für diese wirklich tolle Reihe.

I could hardly wait to read this book and once I started reading it I was sad because another great series was coming to an end.I enjoyed it; not as much as the Gift but it was good. Couple of things were quiet predictable but still fun to read. Only the end (as someone else already said)was somehow a bit of an anticlimax. I finished the last chapter, turned the page which said "epilogue" and I was like "huh, what?". It was just not an appropriate ending to such a story in my opinion. At some points of the story I would have given much to know about Cadvans thoughts and feelings, but well; we can't have everything.So - a good book in a series of solid good books. The Pellinor Books are one of my favourites and I'll miss them.
