A must-read for all those who want to work in international relief or the like.Even while it is sometimes quite irritating how naive (at least the two American)authors handled their jobs and lifes in crisis regions and how little they seem to reflect this while looking back, the book is a good insight into the international buissenes of doing good.For all those who plan to work in similar jobs someday it can be a starting point to overthink how you can work while madness reigns around you without getting mad yourself and keeping up the much needed portion of idealism.

A journey to some of the world's hottest spots, and a pitiless analysis of the United Nations' (and often also the United States') involvement in their solution or continuation; but mostly an admirably honest account of three friends who tried to make a difference.Very well written, at times - in spite of all the horror described - even funny: Highly recommended!
