Wer auf dem deutschprachigen Markt bezüglich eines Einstiegs in die Neurowissenschaften nicht fündig geworden ist, wird hier auf jeden Fall echtes Lesevergnügen finden. Klasse Bilder, toller Text. Die Autoren haben sich bemüht einen umfassenden Einblick auf dem Gebiet der Neurowissenschaften, mit möglichst hoher Aktualität zu bieten. Absolut gelungen. Wer es allerdings ganz genau wissen will (in Amerika glaub ich upgradet class) sollte sich nach etwas anderem umschauen (evtl. Kandel et al).
Well done introductory textbook, 22. November 2003
It's the best undergraduate textbook in neuroscience I have ever seen. Clear text and realy fantastic illustrations! Better than Purves' Neuroscience.
 Ideal for an overview of neuroscience., 10. Januar 1999
This textbook is used as the primary text for introductory neuroscience at Brown University, which is one of the best classes at the college. The authors all are professors and experts in the field and make the study of neuroscience come alive in this text. The subjects range from chemical and molecular neurobiology to sleep, from memory to vision to auditory systems to language processing. I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in knowing how the brain and nervous system work.
