This book is simply outstanding. From presentation to explanations, it is endlessly entertaining and instructional. Not unlike the title, much like taking a one-on-one course with an experienced magician.To learn new tricks, or simply analyze some of the classics...this is THE book.

A wonderful magic book for the young and old alike, Mark Wilson's Complete Course in Magic is a sure bet. With over 2,000 easy to follow pictures and 300 magic tricks, this is a must for every magician's library ;)

Wow, this book was great! It teaches you some really simple tricks that amaze the audience, but i will not tell you any tricks so you can buy it and see for yourself. Believe me, i am a professional magician and this is the book that i go by when performing tricks and illusions, THIS IS A MUST BUY!
The best single-volume magic course ever created., 18. September 1999
There have been a number of magic courses available in the past, such as Hugard and Tarbell, but a modern-day magic enthusiast often gets lost in the archaic references to waistcoasts and opera hats. In the 70's Mark Wilson created a masterful course in magic for the contemporary conjuror. Most importantly, each of the effects is "idiot proofed" by extensive instructions and superb drawings. When I was in the magic business, I personally sold hundreds of these book, giving it my highest recommendation. For the price, you can't do better for someone looking to learn the art and craft of magic. Countless individuals owe their interest to Mark Wilson, myself included. A tremendous value; a milestone work.
